Chef Yves Page brings over 15 years of culinary expertise and a passion for fresh, local ingredients to the heart of Blachford Lodge.

Growing up in a family of food enthusiasts, Chef Yves developed a passion for bold flavors and fresh ingredients. Inspired by his prairie and west coast experiences, he blends comfort classics with regional specialties, creating a unique culinary identity. With a focus on locally sourced ingredients, Chef Yves brings together the best of traditional and modern cuisine, crafting dishes that are both nostalgic and innovative.

From hearty breads to decadent desserts, every item on your plate is prepared in our kitchen. Our chefs take pride in making everything from scratch, offering guests a truly homemade experience in the heart of the wilderness.

Whether you’re enjoying a sunrise breakfast or sitting down to dinner under the stars, you’ll find warmth, quality, and creativity in every bite.

Local & Seasonal

In the summer months, our menus celebrate the North’s brief but vibrant growing season. We thoughtfully source fresh, seasonal produce from trusted Yellowknife suppliers whenever possible, bringing the flavours of summer to the table.

Our menus feature a variety of proteins, including Arctic char, elk, bison, and lake trout, paired with vibrant seasonal ingredients that reflect what’s available at the peak of the season.

Dietary Needs & Special Requests

We are happy to accommodate a wide range of dietary preferences and requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, pescetarian, kid friendly meals, baby food preparation, and specific food allergies.

Our team has extensive experience hosting guests with gluten sensitivities and celiac disease. However, please note that while we take great care in our preparation, our kitchen is not a celiac safe environment.

Dairy-alternative milks and creamers are available on request.

To help us prepare for your stay, we ask that all dietary information be included in your booking forms. When you arrive at the lodge, we kindly encourage any guests with dietary restrictions to stop by the kitchen to introduce themselves to Chef Yves. This allows our team to confirm details, answer questions, and ensure your meals are tailored to your needs throughout your stay.

Cocktails & Bar Service

Our bar offers a curated selection of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer for you to enjoy during your stay. If you have specific drink preferences or requests, feel free to let our team know and we will do our best to accommodate. Guests are also welcome to chat with the team upon arrival about favourites or any special occasions so we can help make your time at Blachford Lodge even more memorable.

 

Please note that alcoholic beverages are not included in our packages and are an additional expense for guests.
