Festive Holiday Season
Our festive season runs from December 20 to January 2, with a mix of regular winter stays and special holiday packages for Christmas and New Year’s.
Celebrating Christmas or New Year's at Blachford Lodge is like stepping into a winter wonderland, where snow-draped landscapes, dancing northern lights and the cozy lodge and cabins set the scene for festive gatherings and quiet moments alike.
Frozen Aurora Package
Snow-blanketed landscapes, crackling fires, and aurora-filled nights.Blachford Lodge offers a front-row seat to the season’s quiet wonders. Guests can cozy up in warm teepees, watch the northern lights dance across the night sky, and embrace peaceful days in the pristine winter wilderness.
Curl up by the fireplace with a warm mug of cocoa
Snowshoe and ski across sparkling winter trails
Relax and unwind in the sauna
Feel the thrill of a snowmobile adventure
Watch your hair freeze in the hot tub under a starry sky
Return air charter (bush plane on skis or floats) Yellowknife to Blachford Lodge
Welcome drink on arrival
Accommodation (lodge or cabin) with daily housekeeping
Three delicious meals per day, prepared by our in-house chef
Snacks, juice, tea and coffee throughout the day
Use of seasonal equipment: combined 25 km of groomed cross-country ski and hiking trails, snowshoes, skis, skates, fat tire bikes, kick sleds, fishing equipment, interpretative walks
2 guided activities daily
Use of hot tub, sauna, tipi, bonfire pits, etc. at your leisure

Yoga equipment for personal use
AuroraWatch service nightly (until 3am)
Aurora photography instruction
Use of Lodge Facilities: dining room, Aurora viewing lounge, fireplaces, and bathrooms
Basic luggage allowance of 50 lbs per person, including your carry-on baggage
Travel insurance
Winter clothing rental (additional $250 per person, plus tax. Please book in advance)
Snowmobile tours / guided fishing tours
Ground activities, transfers and accommodation in Yellowknife.
All package rates are listed per person in Canadian dollars. Any currency conversion tool is provided for estimation purposes only. The final amount charged will be based on the exchange rate in effect at the time of payment. Single occupancy incurs an additional 50 percent on the regular rate plus applicable service fees and taxes. Lodge rooms with shared bathrooms receive a 20 percent discount on accommodation packages. Children aged 3 to 10 receive 50 percent off the regular accommodation or package rate when sharing a family room. Children aged 2 and under stay free of charge.
