WINTER CAMPING
Winter camping introduces participants to the equipment, techniques and considerations unique to living comfortably in a winter environment. The course is taught over four days with a lecture and equipment review on the first day followed by hands-on training and instruction on all aspects of winter camping over the next two days. For the final day, teams proceed independently on their own to put everything into practice in a new area. The course develops the skills and knowledge necessary to safely organize weekend and extended winter camping trips.
