  • 2.5 hour charter flight from Yellowknife to the Lodge and back: Get an aerial view of caribou herds and diamond mines
  • Land transfers in Yellowknife to the airport for the charter flight

BONUS - 5,000 years of history and culture

  • 5,000 years ago - The ancestors arrive from Alaska, evolving into the Denbigh, then the Dorset cultures
  • 800-1300 AD - The Thule culture arrived and the Dorset people disappear
  • In the middle 1800s, the climate cooled in what is known as the Little Ice Age. Adaptation by the Thule led to the creation of Inuit culture
  • A migration inland from Hudson Bay, led to the Netsilik culture, known by archaeologists and anthropologists as the Copper Inuit
  • The people of southern Bathurst Inlet called themselves Kingaunmiut - not the Copper Inuit. The name referred to "the people who live below Nose Mountain (Kinguan)
