Step back in time and travel the traditional hunting routes of the Inuit
The romantic image of a by-gone arctic time – an Inuit hunter, his dog team and the wide expanse of the arctic still exists in the Arctic to this day. As much as the snowmobile – also known as the ‘iron dog’ has replaced the dog team as the primary workhorse of the Arctic, traditional dog teams still play an important part of the Inuit life and culture.
Over five days and under the guidance of your Inuit guide, you will have the option to design and customize your trip to meet your specific wishes. As there is much to see, your guide will outline a number of proposed routes before departing. It could be that over the winter freeze up a gigantic iceberg is within a day’s reach where you can camp overnight 
before heading out to a frozen fresh water lake with the aim of fishing for Arctic Char. Along the way you will photograph the magnificent ice and snow-locked landscape, including the region’s towering cliffs which rise shear from the sea to over 3,500 feet, and numerous glaciers spilling down the mountain valleys. Pass by traditional Inuit Inukshuks that have been silently guiding the Inuit along traditional hunting and traveling routes. Witness Arctic wildlife first-hand, including polar bear, seal, ptarmigan, and in late spring, the flurry of Arctic birds that fly north along the floe edge to nest.
