Days 3 - 8Today, we will pack up and set off south on our trek through the untouched wilderness of Auyuittuq National Park. Our guide will decide which route the group will take based on the weather and the group condition. Our expedition will take us over uneven terrain, amidst peaks and glaciers, and will require everyone to carry a substantial backpack. Throughout the course of the trip, your guide will provide you with informal commentary on the flora, geology, bird life, and geographical features of the High Arctic so that you can learn more about the stunning and dramatic environment we will be trekking through.
Day 9Weather permitting, the group will be picked up by boat charter and be transferred to Pangnirtung. Overnight in Pangnirtung.
Day 10Transfer to the airport in time to connect with flights for your return home.
Due to the nature of adventure travel in the Arctic, this itinerary is subject to change.
As weather is unpredictable in the north, there is a slight chance that the charter boat transfers or scheduled aircraft may be delayed. We strongly urge you to purchase an airline ticket that allows you to change your departure date with minimal penalty. We also recommend that you obtain travel insurance to cover you in case you miss your scheduled flight.
