As a marine biologist, Arctic expedition guide and logistics manager specializing in private family trips, luxury expeditions and seamless behind the scenes management, Kristyn plays a vital role in all of Arctic Kingdom’s expeditions. She manages the equipment outfitting department scouring the globe for the world’s best suppliers, ensuring all guests and expeditions are equipped with exactly what they need for the tasks and conditions at hand.
Kristyn has led, managed, and participated in more than 40 expeditions across Canada’s Arctic, Alaska, Greenland, and Svalbard. Among her largest endeavours is the Disney Nature film “Oceans,” a three-year project, which Kristyn managed all the backend operations bridging the gap between hi-tech film crew and remote arctic wilderness. She has led expeditions for adventurers, film crews and scientists. Kristyn’s enthusiasm and passion for her work is evident in all of her endeavours and she strives to help each visitor to the Arctic achieve their goals.
Before her Arctic days, Kristyn managed Coastal Ecosystems Research Foundation’s remote summer camp on the west coast of Canada studying grey whale behaviour and cataloguing benthic marine life for a Department of Fisheries and Oceans survey. After that, she spent three years living in Taiwan before returning to Canada and beginning her career in the Arctic.
